After Michael and Michelle B.'s car dealership business went bankrupt, Michael was forced to work at a job he disliked just so he could support the family. Fortunately, his in-laws introduced him to the Herbalife business opportunity soon after, and he jumped at the chance.

The Burtons' car business went under, even though they were working 80 hours a week.
